Pradosh Fast

March 4 @ 12:00 am

Pradosh Fast is a Hindu religious observance that is performed on the Trayodashi Tithi (13th day) of the Hindu lunar calendar. This year, it will be observed on Saturday, March 4, 2023. The fast is observed twice a month, once during the waxing moon phase (Shukla Paksha) and once during the waning moon phase (Krishna Paksha). During the Pradosh Fast, devotees abstain from food and water from sunrise to sunset and perform puja rituals to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. The fast is considered highly auspicious and is believed to bestow blessings of peace, prosperity, and happiness upon the observer. It is also believed that by observing the Pradosh Fast, one can attain liberation from sins and negative karma. The fast is widely observed by Hindus all over the world and is an important aspect of Hindu religious practices.
